French and German for Homeschooled Children
Beginners French and German – 12 week course
Lessons start with basic conversations on general themes. Students practise dialogues and vocabulary. The emphasis is on repetition, pronunciation and familiarisation with some basic grammar explanations. This course leads to Improvers French or German Year 1
The beginners class is suitable for students with no prior knowledge of the language or those who may have done some basic French or German.
*Age 8 is the preferred lowest age. Classes will require some reading from the screen.
Improvers French and German (Level 1)
Starting in January, lessons continue on from the beginners course with more dialogues and vocabulary in a bit more depth with some further grammar explanation. All classes allow the children plenty of time for interaction with each other, to share experiences and above all to have fun while learning the languages.
All lessons include some general knowledge about the countries where the languages are spoken.
French and German Level 2
All students at this level should either have completed Improvers Level 1 with me or have at least 1 year of the language in another format eg school or other online course. Contact me for placement advice.
French and German Level 3
Students who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 with me or have at least 2 years of the language in another format eg school or other online course. Contact me for placement advice.

- Classes are designed as progressive – students with no prior knowledge should complete Beginners Level. New Beginners Classes will commence Sept 2022.
- Some exceptions can be made for students with prior language knowledge; contact me for advice on placement
